SUMMARY:CALL for RFA Proposals: California Community Engagement Initiative Lead Agency
DESCRIPTION:The Community Engagement Initiative (CEI) was established in 2018 under Assembly Bill 1808\, section 140 (Chapter 32 of the Statutes of 2018) as part of California’s Statewide System of Support as a key lead initiative\, with a $13.2 million investment. The CEI is tasked with building the capacity of communities and school districts to conduct meaningful engagement by building capacity in school districts\, identifying effective models of community engagement and metrics\, developing effective peer-to-peer partnerships between school districts and county offices of education (COEs). Currently\, the CEI represents 44 Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) statewide\, which include schools\, districts\, and county offices of education. DESCRIPTION:To establish coherence across statewide professional learning program evaluations\, the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence\, California Department of Education\, and State Board of Education is convening designated evaluation teams to provide community and collaboration toward a shared vision of successful evaluations. Evaluation teams will convene at least twice a year to develop a collective approach to data collection\, analysis\, and reporting processes to measure the impact of state-funded professional learning programs. DESCRIPTION:FREE UPK Workshop Sessions and Registration \nThe California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE) has partnered with the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) to host two workshops on UPK Blending\, Braiding\, and Layering for districts\, county offices\, charter schools and their community partners. \nWorkshops will be structured around guided working sessions in which LEA teams will use strategic planning tools\, with the help of expert coaches\, to generate solutions and strategic action plans that are specific to each LEA’s circumstances.
