SUMMARY:Effective Foundational Skills Instruction
DESCRIPTION:Our students\, especially our earliest learners\, need strong foundational skills instruction to become skilled readers. During this workshop\, we will review the key components of effective Foundational Skills instruction. You will use the Instructional Practice Guide to observe and identify those key components in a sample lesson. You will also have opportunities to collaborate with role-alike peers to discuss the conditions needed at your school/district to bring these components to life for your students. \nRegister: https://sdcoe.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bBBPSqbKvY1N4eq \nQuestions? SUMMARY:Empowering Rural Math Education: Strategies and Resources for Success
DESCRIPTION:The adoption of California’s new Mathematics Framework requires a sharpened focus on mathematics instruction and achievement. The Rural Math Collaborative (RMC)\, led by Lake County and Butte County\, is a partnership between the CCEE\, twenty participating counties supporting small\, rural local educational agencies (LEAs)\, and the California Mathematics Project (CMP). During this session\, the RMC leadership team will describe their dynamic approach to accelerating learning in mathematics by supporting member counties and LEAs with instructional coaching\, intervention\, and Lesson Study. Additionally\, you will learn about RMC’s newly released asynchronous course\, developed by the CMP and freely available statewide\, that can help your school or district deepen knowledge of the new Mathematics Framework. \n  \nRegister Here: bit.ly/OD-RMC

SUMMARY:Intensifying Interventions for Students
DESCRIPTION:Even with well-designed and carefully delivered reading interventions\, some students may need more. Please join us to hear about key considerations for adapting interventions for students with intensive needs. We’ll explore how addressing the alterable variables of instruction\, curriculum\, and environment can help accelerate student progress and improve outcomes for students who need more. This workshop will provide resources to help guide the process and time for Q&A. \nRegister: https://sdcoe.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bBBPSqbKvY1N4eq \nQuestions? Email rii@cccoe.k12.ca.us
