SUMMARY:CCLA Region 4 - California Collaborative for Learning Acceleration - Mathematics
DESCRIPTION:Learning Acceleration is “about building bridges rather than filling holes” and provides student access to current grade-level content\, rather than focusing on remediation. (CCEE Playbook) \nIn a Networked Improvement Community (NIC)\, school teams will embark on a learning journey to move students forward and set them up for success. This strategic approach of developing current understanding while addressing unfinished learning from the past yields strong results. \nImprove students’ access to grade level math content for grades 3-6 by using accelerated learning strategies. School teams of 3-5 site leaders\, coaches\, and teachers are invited to join our grant funded CCLA 2023-2026. \nAs a member of our network\, you will benefit from: \nTwo full day sessions for leadership support – 8/31/23 & 1/25/24 \nFour full day network sessions per year – 8/26/23\, 11/28/23\, 2/20/24\, 4/16/24 \nSix personalized team coaching sessions on site with a  TCOE Mathematics Curriculum Specialist \nRegistration Fee: FREE grant funded 2023-2026

SUMMARY:Open Door Session: Graduate Profiles: Redefining Student Success
DESCRIPTION:Across the state\, dozens of school districts (and some charter schools and COEs) have convened their communities to create a Graduate Profile to more holistically and equitably define student success. Once developed\, a Graduate Profile serves as a lever for change that leads to a renewed vision and definition of the college and career-ready student\, supports the whole child approach to learning\, serves as an impetus for shifting instructional practices and engaging students in deeper learning\, and requires a shift in assessments that provide students authentic ways to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. The result of this transformation is a learning process that is more equitable\, student-centered\, and competency-based. Please join us to learn how these Graduate Profiles serve as a driver for a renewed vision\, improved equity\, deeper learning and student agency. \nThis event has passed. Please view the archived webinar materials on this page.

SUMMARY:SEL through the lens of UDL: Session 1

SUMMARY:Balanced Assessment System Pilot – Informational Session
DESCRIPTION:In January 2024\, CCEE will be launching a Balanced Assessment System Pilot consisting of a micro-course with a toolkit designed to support local educational agencies (LEAs) in creating balanced assessment systems. \nIn partnership with the Center for Assessment\, CCEE is excited to invite interested district-school leadership teams to join this six-month learning network. From January through June 2024\, selected LEAs will pilot the micro-course and associated tools for self-paced implementation within their local contexts. The Center for Assessment will provide guidance on how best to utilize these resources and LEAs will have an opportunity to provide feedback that will inform future versions of these state resources. \nThis opportunity is a right fit for LEAs wanting to conduct a review of their current systems of assessment\, especially if deciding to make further investments in interim and/or curriculum-embedded assessments. If you’re interested in learning more\, please register for this informational session on Monday\, October 16 from 1-2pm.
