SUMMARY:Moving the EL Roadmap Forward: Lessons and Bright Spots from the Field
DESCRIPTION:Since 2017\, the English Learner Roadmap policy has been central to our vision for educating California’s English Learners. Thanks to a series of new publications by Dr. Laurie Olsen\, we have lessons from the field\, examples of bright spots in implementation\, and local recommendations to continue to improve outcomes for California’s English learners. \nCome learn about the new series of publications titled Moving the California English Learner Roadmap Forward and resources that can support local implementation. The main focus will be lessons from the ELRISE! project\, which was funded by an Educator Workforce Investment grant from the California Department of Education to support implementation of EL Roadmap policy. It will feature Dr. Laurie Olsen who will provide background on the EL Roadmap Policy and findings from the report\, leaders from two of the bright spots school districts who will share insights about their school district’s journey and promising strategies.
