On March 5, 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 86, which updated the requirements of the January 14 order issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and subsequently requires every educational agency (i.e., school district, county office of education, and charter school) and private school to submit information about how instruction is being provided. Updates in the 2021-22 education omnibus budget trailer bill, pursuant to Education Code 32091, identified data elements for SY 2021-22.
