The CCEE, in collaboration with CDE support the Educator Workforce Investment Grant Program. The Language Acquisition initiative is to provide high-quality professional learning for educators, specifically targeting areas such as language acquisition for English learners. This includes programs that build on the English Learner Roadmap adopted in 2017, promoting biliteracy.
Key Highlights:
The Sacramento County Office of Education Consortium, San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools Consortium, Los Angeles County Office of Education Consortium, and Orange County Department of Education Consortium were selected to provide professional learning that is aligned with the statewide system of support. These opportunities will provide integrated language development within and across different content areas, build and strengthen the capacity to implement the English Learner Roadmap and achieve bilingual and biliterate proficiency for learners.
