Evidence-based strategies, tools, and resources will be shared to support both assessment and instruction.

Starting with the End in Mind ELPAC

The English Language Proficiency Assessments for California or ELPAC have high stakes for English Learners that include criteria for placement in ELD classes and reclassification. Backwards mapping is a key strategy to ensure that instruction aligns with the demands of the ELPAC. This session examines the demands and language used and then provides time to plan for instruction and assessment alignment.
