Dorcas Kong serves as the Senior Specialist of Executive Projects for the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE). In this role, she facilitates the Data Research Learning Network (DRLN) for select districts and county offices, enhancing their capacity to make data-driven decisions, implement evidence-based practices, and drive strategic improvements to support equitable student outcomes. She also leads the Data Leadership Course within CCEE’s Data Academy, supporting K–12 education professionals in developing the mindsets, practices, and systems needed to build a culture of effective inquiry and drive strategic, equity-centered decision-making within their local contexts.
Prior to joining CCEE, Dorcas earned her Master of Science in Education Policy from the University of Pennsylvania, where she collaborated on a research team studying the relationship between inclusive education practices for students with Autism and academic and behavioral outcomes in general education settings. In partnership with Bristol Township School District, the team produced a policy report to inform the district’s Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) corrective action plan.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, along with a minor in Education Studies.
