Statewide Mathematics Network

Overview

The California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE) was awarded $7.5 million to convene, in consultation with the California Department of Education (CDE), the Statewide Mathematics Network (Budget Act of 2025 (Assembly Bill 121, Sec. 90).

The network supports statewide implementation of evidence-based practices aligned to the Mathematics Framework adopted by the State Board of Education pursuant to Section 60207 of the Education Code, and the use of data to support effective instruction. In performing this work, the CCEE is required to do all of the following:

  • Consult with the CDE and convene existing state-funded entities to support implementation of mathematics-related initiatives and ensure best practices and findings from assistance are integrated into the Statewide System of Support.
  • Consult with mathematics experts to curate a user-friendly clearinghouse for evidence-based mathematics resources for use by local educational agencies seeking to implement evidence-based practices to improve mathematics outcomes.
  • Study, highlight, and disseminate information about high performing local educational agencies and best practices.

The Statewide Mathematics Network is in its initial implementation phase in 2025–26; additional resources and opportunities will be added throughout 2026–27.
