August 1 - August 2

What is the Intention of this Event?
The main goal of this event is to foster collaborative partnerships between educational
and community systems that complement each other. Together, we aim to empower
current educators who are tasked with making student-centered decisions. This
collaborative space will encourage state, federal, and community-funded systems to
share their expertise while exploring innovative strategies to enhance student well-being
and academic success.

Why Should Educators Attend this Event?
By creating an intentional space for education and community systems to collaborate
and share knowledge, resources, opportunities for learning, and best practices, we can
develop a more holistic support system for students. This ensures that all aspects of their
well-being are effectively addressed.

Who Should Attend this Event?
All educational partners, including educators, administrators, counselors, healthcare
professionals, policymakers, and local and state agencies, providing an excellent opportunity for
networking and forging valuable partnerships.

Why is Fresno Hosting and Why Through a Community Schools (R-TAC) Lens?
The Central Valley Regional Transforming Assistance Center (R-TAC) service region starts with
Amador County and extends down to Kern County with Fresno being the centralized location
within the service region. Community Schools is a state-funded initiative with the goal of
establishing schools as the hub to the community while serving as the liaison between
community need and accessible services to students and families. This event encapsulates the
vision for Community Schools by emphasizing interconnectivity between community systems,
and the transformative potential of collaborative efforts in the California education system.
