Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) Spring Training Session Part 2
The Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) is a research-based approach that helps schools identify, assess, and manage threats through early intervention and a tiered system. Unlike zero-tolerance policies, CSTAG promotes fair responses, reduces unnecessary discipline, and supports a safe, positive school climate. A multidisciplinary team—including administrators, counselors, and law enforcement—works together to ensure safety and student well-being.
It is highly encouraged to bring a team from your site to support collaboration and implementation.
Important Notice: This is a two-part training. Attendance at the first session is required in order to participate in the second session. This ensures full understanding and effective implementation of the CSTAG process
