Learning Acceleration System Grant Professional Learning Opportunities
California Literacy Elevation By Accelerating Learning (Project CLEAR) led by San Diego County Office of Education, Saint Mary’s College, with CCEE, are providing three FREE one-hour professional learning sessions. Participants will explore different elements of powerful literacy teaching and learning.

- Feb. 13 Gathering Data During Focused Learning Group: Discover an easy way to listen to several students reading at once, record powerful observational notes, differentiate for individual and immediate needs, deliver responsive teaching, and so much more.
- Feb. 21 Expanding English Vocabulary in Any Student Language: Explore a strategic method of instruction based on student assets, which also honors student culture, inspires bridging between languages, extends student registers, and strengthens student relationships.
- Feb. 27 Writing & Sketching in Response to Reading: Delve into this strategy for consolidating understanding, valuing student voice, that allows teachers to tap into students’ talents and reactions, encouraging student agency
