Overview

The CCEE Instructional Leader Professional Learning Network (PLN) is an in-person professional learning experience that supports district instructional leaders in strengthening instructional systems and improving student outcomes. Through collaborative learning, individualized coaching, and reflective practice, participants build the knowledge and leadership skills needed to align improvement efforts with district priorities while connecting with peers from across California.

The PLN is designed to help leaders move beyond solving isolated challenges by strengthening their understanding of the systems that influence teaching, learning, and student success. Throughout the year, participants will engage in practical learning experiences that encourage curiosity, systems thinking, continuous improvement, and the strategic use of data to support meaningful change.

Here’s what participants can expect:

1. Strengthen Systems Thinking: Develop a deeper understanding of the systems that produce current student outcomes and identify opportunities for sustainable improvement.
2. Apply Data to Continuous Improvement: Use data to monitor progress, measure impact, and guide instructional improvement efforts that can be sustained across schools and districts.
3. Design User-Centered Solutions: Learn practical approaches for identifying district challenges and developing solutions centered on the needs of students, educators, and school communities.
4. Receive Individualized Leadership Coaching: Work alongside experienced leadership coaches who will support reflective practice and the application of growth mindset, scientific reasoning, humility, and curiosity to everyday leadership.
5. Build a Statewide Professional Network: Connect with instructional leaders from across California to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and accelerate improvement efforts statewide.
