Dr. Marcie Poole serves as a Senior Advisor for Teaching, Learning, and Leading within the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE). In this capacity, she facilitates and coordinates Direct Technical Assistance (DTA) provided by the CCEE to local educational agencies (LEAs).
With extensive experience in the education sector, Dr. Poole has held positions including Site Principal and K-12 District Administrator. She has also functioned as a capacity building coach, offering support and guidance to LEAs across California in the implementation of continuous improvement processes and practices for district and site leaders, as well as Professional Learning Communities within and across educational institutions. Moreover, Dr. Poole recently co-directed the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Equity Academy, which aimed to develop the capacity of leaders across California to effectively advocate for all students.
Dr. Poole's expertise spans various areas, including management, leadership, strategic planning, and fostering collaborative environments and teamwork. She demonstrates a particular proficiency in establishing connections and partnerships to advance organizational goals. In her leadership roles, she has been pivotal in directing initiatives to address student inequity, enhance academic performance, and promote organizational culture shifts by restructuring processes within educational institutions.
Dr. Poole earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Long Beach, followed by a Master's in Education from Pepperdine University. She further holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of La Verne.
