We are excited to announce that our Executive Director will be presenting to The Central Valley Education Coalition (CVEC) this Thursday. The CVEC, a prominent education advocacy group, represents 128 public education organizations across Fresno, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, and Tulare counties.
About the CVEC: Formed in 2005 by county and district leaders, the CVEC has been at the forefront of advocating for the educational needs of the Central Valley’s diverse student population. Its mission encompasses:
- Focusing on the diverse needs of Central Valley students
- Preparing every student for college and career success
- Increasing graduation rates while reducing school dropouts
- Ensuring equality, equity, and full funding for schools
The CVEC plays a vital role in increasing the visibility of the Central Valley with policy makers in Sacramento, advocating for strategic changes that provide the essential financial and programmatic tools needed to support our growing student population.
