Supporting Student Interactions with Complex Text in Hybrid and Online Classrooms includes the following four modules:

  • Module 1 (February 18) – Learn how to structure, strengthen, and support student interaction with complex text to develop academic language and disciplinary literacy.
  • Module 2 (February 25) – Learn how to facilitate acquisition of the academic language students need to effectively interact with a range of texts.
  • Module 3 (March 11) – Learn how to foster metacognition so that your students can (a) recognize when they are not comprehending when interacting with texts and (b) know what strategies to use to help them move forward.
  • Module 4 (March 25) – Learn how to use the SOAR Teaching Frame to design lessons for traditional and hybrid classrooms.

Sessions will be held on Thursdays from 3:30pm-6:00pm.
