Teacher Induction Exit Interview

Exit Interviews are granted when it is determined that a candidate has completed all aspects of the Induction program. At the Exit Interview, candidates will: receive their recommendation for the California Clear Credential and the instructions for payment and processing online; have the opportunity to provide feedback to the program via structured oral questions presented to the group. Prior to the start of the Exit Interview, please make sure you have done the following:completed and submitted your responses to the End of Year Feedback form via Google Forms; completed and emailed the Exit Interview Program Reflection to [email protected]; and completed and emailed your credential application to [email protected]

Mindfulness with Ms. M

Start the day with a special practice—learning to give attention to the present moment with curiosity, non-judgement, and kindness. This group utilizes a combination of Mindful Schools Curriculum (mindfulschools.org), Mindfulness Techniques developed by Christopher Willard PsyD (drchristopherwillard.com), Action for Happiness’ Kindness Curriculum, and 10 years of clinical practice supporting individuals with integrating mindfulness into everyday life. Building Thinking Classrooms – 2023 Summer Institute (Week 1)

In this 5-day workshop, we focus on building thinking classrooms (BTC). Delve into the four research-based toolkits shown to foster active learning, engagement, and mathematical thinking in any classroom setting. Explore how to integrate the 3 Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Signature Practices into your routines, and how they can help you fine tune your thinking classroom by enhancing student belonging and motivation. Twice in this series, you will participate in a team-driven Task Study utilizing summer school classrooms. Deepen your understanding of the macro & micro moves found in the (BTC) practices so that you can apply them in your own classroom.

This universally designed professional learning series will provide an overview of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Participants will explore the foundational concepts of UDL and how to design learning experiences through the lens of UDL to create more inclusive and equitable learning environments for all.
