How can teachers easily and effectively build language proficiency for their English learner/emergent bilingual students throughout their daily lessons? This interactive three-day in-person summer series provides teachers with a construct and set of strategies that can be effectively integrated into existing lessons and practices.

The book study and training modules are designed for parents/families, educators, community members, Administrative teams and anyone supporting young boys of color, their families and the community.

This monthly cohort will focus on how to support the development of proficient readers and improve reading outcomes for all learners. Participants will engage in content from the Getting Reading Right modules created by the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE). Evidence-based strategies, tools, and resources will be shared to support both assessment and instruction.

Opportunities for County Office of Education team members to learn about state/regional updates, gather and share tools/resources, network and collaborate.
