The book study and training modules are designed for parents/families, educators, community members, Administrative teams and anyone supporting young boys of color, their families and the community.
The Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten Educator Network will be facilitated by members of SCOE’s team and will provide an opportunity to collaborate and share strategies and resources to address the needs of young learners.
The SCOE State and Federal Programs Network meets monthly following the CDE State and Federal Directors meeting. District and charter school administrators are invited to join these meetings. Topics will be curated to include timely information with relevance for local context. This is a virtual meeting, conducted via Zoom. The Zoom link will be shared via personalized email and calendar invite (sent by program staff) prior to date of meeting.

This exciting session will feature participants from Yolo County Office of Education, Santa Barbara Unified School District, and Modesto City Schools. YCOE is currently building a microgrid which will protect their critical facilities and leverage Investment Tax Credits from the federal Inflation Reduction Act. SBUSD installed a microgrid which will save them $14M over the next 20 years. MCS is using solar carports, EV chargers, and electric school buses to transition to energy resilient facilities and bring in $17M of state and federal dollars to their district.
