An EPiCC Summer Series Offering - Limited Space! Register Soon! How can teachers easily and effectively build language proficiency for their English learner/emergent bilingual students throughout their daily lessons? This interactive three-day in-person summer series provides teachers with a construct and set of strategies that can be effectively integrated into existing lessons and practices.
The book study and training modules are designed for parents/families, educators, community members, Administrative teams and anyone supporting young boys of color, their families and the community.
This monthly cohort will focus on how to support the development of proficient readers and improve reading outcomes for all learners. Participants will engage in content from the Getting Reading Right modules created by the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE). Evidence-based strategies, tools, and resources will be shared to support both assessment and instruction.
Opportunities for County Office of Education team members to learn about state/regional updates, gather and share tools/resources, network and collaborate.

GUIDING QUESTION: How can assessments be used to support equitable, high quality UTK and P-3 programs? LEARNING OUTCOME:Leaders can make specific connections between existing assessments and how they can inform equity-centered continuous improvement for systemically marginalized and historically underserved students.
The New Assessment Coordinator Check-ins are offered for LEA CAASPP Coordinators and LEA ELPAC Coordinators who are new to their role. The meetings focus on monthly activities that need to be completed and information about upcoming training opportunities. The meetings provide participants a venue to ask questions and get answers about CAASPP, ELPAC, and other assessment-related topics.
