Library Multimedia Network (LMN) Meeting
LMN meetings are a bi-monthly gathering of Tulare & Kings County schools’ library personnel with an emphasis on collaboration, communication, and creativity. These meetings are dedicated to school library development and awareness of current trends in school library practices that help library staff support the faculty & students at their campus.
Academic Interventions: Intensifying Instruction for Struggling Readers and Students with Dyslexia
This course was so popular we are offering it again! Learn explicit multimodal reading interventions for students who have a dyslexic profile. Learn multimodal instructional strategies for students with phonological processing deficits. Learn about instructional supports for students with orthographic processing deficits. Learn technology tools to support reading intervention programs.
Ethnic Studies Community of Practice
The El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, and Sacramento County Offices of Education are excited to kick off our regional Ethnic Studies Community of Practice. The purpose of this Community of Practice is to bring together administrators and teachers from high schools in our counties to build their capacity to teach Ethnic Studies. This COP will: 1. Support districts with information regarding state graduation requirements, model curriculum, and support for implementation. 2. Share updates from state & regional California Regional Ethnic Studies Collaborative Project (Project CRESC). 3. Identify and collaborate to address varied district needs. 4. Share and learn from each other. 5. Identify expert partners to support work.

Exit Interviews are granted when it is determined that a candidate has completed all aspects of the Induction program. At the Exit Interview, candidates will: receive their recommendation for the California Clear Credential and the instructions for payment and processing online; have the opportunity to provide feedback to the program via structured oral questions presented to the group. Prior to the start of the Exit Interview, please make sure you have done the following:completed and submitted your responses to the End of Year Feedback form via Google Forms; completed and emailed the Exit Interview Program Reflection to [email protected]; and completed and emailed your credential application to [email protected]

TK Teachers Community of Practice – Science
Please join us for a Community of Practice for TK teachers exploring best practices to support our early learners! Each 90-minute workshop will focus on a specific topic with a presenter and time for collaboration. Shasta County TK Educators can earn up to $1,000 in classroom materials if they attend all five sessions in the Community of Practice. This is a free series, all workshops are held from 3:15 - 4:45pm at the Professional Development Center.

“She Leads” Professional Learning Module

Clear Administrative Services Credential Program Information Meeting
The Tulare County Office of Education’s iLead Clear Administrative Services Credential program is designed for administrators needing to clear their preliminary credentials. Established upon the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSELs) and driven by an individualized learning experience with an assigned one-on-one mentor, candidates participate in a two-year program utilizing site-based projects and relevant site-based experiences. Each candidate will work collaboratively to create and engage in practices designed to meet their leadership development needs. RICA Test Prep Class – Written Option
This RICA Prep Class is based on the RICA content specifications. Participants will review key subject matter, become familiar with the structure and content of the test, and identify which individual areas he or she needs to focus. Participants will work through practice test questions, providing detailed explanations that guide them on how to apply their knowledge to the specific question types they will encounter on the real exam.

Nuestro bienestar mental determina cómo respondemos a los factores estresantes de la vida, las experiencias traumáticas y como nos relacionamos con otras personas. Es tan importante atender y nutrir nuestro bienestar mental, como lo hacemos con nuestra salud fÃsica. Los participantes tendrán la oportunidad de adquirir conocimientos sobre el bienestar mental, además de aprender sobre los estigmas y mitos de la salud mental, explorar las experiencias adversas de la infancia (ACE) y examinar los sÃntomas comunes de los problemas de salud mental. También se explorarán estrategias para promover el bienestar mental.
