The English Language Proficiency Assessments for California or ELPAC have high stakes for English Learners that include criteria for placement in ELD classes and reclassification. Backwards mapping is a key strategy to ensure that instruction aligns with the demands of the ELPAC. Participants will engage in content from the Getting Reading Right modules created by the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE).
