The 21st Century California School Leadership Academy provides elite development for educators, emphasizing growth, quality training, and strategic California-wide influence.
Basic Components (Levers 1.0)
Sponsored by the CCEE and partners, this tool aids LEAs in improving their special education systems via systematic assessment and enhancement procedures.
Chronic Absenteeism Learning Network
Addressing post-Covid-19 absenteeism, CCEE highlights successful districts, shares best practices, and partners with Monterey County Office of Education to refine student attendance strategies.
Data Research Learning Networks
CCEE in partnership with California school districts in the DRLN aims to upgrade data systems for better student outcomes, using Data Equity Reviews, formative assessments, and Data Dashboards.
Direct Technical Assistance
CCEE champions equity and access for students by collaborating with county education offices, experts, and a network of specialists to provide holistic Direct Technical Assistance to Local Education Agencies.
Fee for Service
CCEE offers advice and assistance to eligible school districts, county superintendents, or charter schools, while non-eligible LEAs can seek cost-reimbursed support per the annual Budget Act.
Geographic Lead Agencies
Geo Leads boost COEs' capacity, coordinate Differentiated Assistance, manage resources for emerging needs, and maintain communication coherence in California's public school system with CCEE and CDE support.
High Quality Online Instructional Materials
Kern County Superintendent of Schools leads the three-year High Quality Online Instructional Materials project, supported by CCEE and CDE, to enhance educator learning with cost-effective, equitable, and collaborative vetted resources.
IEP Expert Panel
CCEE, in conjunction with the State Board of Education's Executive Director, is convening an expert panel to enhance the California Statewide IEP template, with a mandate to update key stakeholders, including legislative committees, by June 30, 2024, as directed by the Budget Act of 2022.
Intensive Assistance Model/Network
In 2022-2023, CCEE initiated the Intensive Assistance Model Project, partnering with districts, County Offices of Education, and Solution Tree's "PLC at Work®" to create action plans emphasizing student achievement through curriculum alignment, formative assessments, and effective teaching strategies.
Internal Impact Measurement and Analysis
CCEE's 2021-2022 engagement with 500+ LEAs resulted in an Annual Report, with 2022-2023 quarterly reports highlighting 50+ projects and priorities like CEI, LASG, SSOS, DTA, and IAM for the Annual Report.
Professional Learning Resources
The California Collaborative for Educational Excellence's Center for Innovation, Instruction, & Impact provides educators with synchronous and asynchronous digital learning through its Resource Center, offering courses, webinars, videos, and more.
Program and Policy Evaluation Learning Network
The California Collaborative for Educational Excellence, California Department of Education, and State Board of Education unite evaluation teams for collaborative data collection and analysis on professional learning programs, with biannual meetings for guidance.
Statewide System Of Support Working Group
The SSOS Working Group, led by a committee of Superintendents, assesses the SSOS at different service levels, striving to provide coordinated resources for LEAs to enhance student achievement and bridge opportunity gaps.
Statewide Evaluation
CCEE and partners coordinate evaluations to assess the system's impact, using reports to guide improvements and shape policies for California students in TK-12 education.
Statewide System of Support
The California System of Support, central to the state's equity and local control commitment, connects educational entities through Lead Agencies to address inequities, boost LEA capacities, and promote collaboration.
System Change (Levers 2.0)
The System Levers Tool aids California LEAs in assessing their educational infrastructure, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to inform enhancement efforts.
Universal Design for Learning Journey Guide
CCEE, in collaboration with CAST, developed a digital UDL Journey Guide for district leaders, supporting UDL implementation across four phases with resources and alignment to the UDL School Implementation Criteria.
Equity Lead-Equity Multiplier
In 2024, Equity Leads will partner with educational organizations, engage state experts, create resources for program analysis, address racial disparities, and navigate local accountability plans for inclusive data-driven decision-making in schools.
Research Practice Partnerships
CCEE’s Research-Practice Partnership is an initiative designed to set up collaborative partnerships between the LEA and the CCEE to support research and the initial implementation of an early-stage project to support student outcomes.
